Stacy Vara, Owner & Head Trainer
Stacy Vara grew up in upstate NY and has been working with dogs her entire life. From a young age, Stacy has had a love for animals, especially dogs. She knew she wanted to work with them from the moment she began training her own dogs as a kid. Stacy is a veteran trainer with many years of experience. She has volunteered and dedicated her time at local animal shelters and rescues over the last decade as well. She is also an experienced Explosive Detection Handler.
Prior to training, Stacy was a teacher, but it wasn't long before Stacy realized her true passion and her desire to help families bond with their dogs to improve the overall quality of their lives. Training and continuing to refine her methods, she has been able to take her four personal dogs to the next level of training.
Stacy is excited to be bring her knowledge and expertise to Ohio and looks forward to working with you and your dogs!
Philosophy
At Bomber K9, our goal is to provide your dog with the structure and inclusion he/she needs to create a well-balanced and relaxed state of mind. We use a balanced approach that combines consistency with effective communication, positive reinforcement and reasonable corrections. Dogs, just like people, need structure and need to know what type of behavior is acceptable and what type of behavior is unwanted. Each dog that comes through our programs is provided with an individualized approach to their training. Our FREE consults prior to starting training provides us the opportunity to assess your dog's behavior and work together to set you and your dog up for success!
Training Tools
The tools we use during training are used to effectively communicate with your dog and inform them when they are doing something correctly and when they are doing something incorrectly.
During training we use a regular flat collar and leash as well as the Mini Educator E-Collar. E-Collars used during our training programs are included in the price of ALL packages. We utilize the e-collar during training on LOW LEVELS of communication with your dog. E-collars are a reliable way to communicate with your dog both on and off leash and at a distance. It provides the most gentle type of remote communication with your dog WITHOUT sending an electrical shock. Each training program include a one-on-one tutorial on proper e-collar use to maintain consistent and effective communication with your dog!
